Our Story
Dedicated to Excellence
We are pleased to introduce D-Squared Cattle Company LLC, a family-owned operation with a deep-rooted tradition in cattle breeding, specializing in the remarkable Irish Dexter breed.
Our journey began with a conversation at Midwest Old Threshers in Mount Pleasant Iowa, where Larry Graber shared his conviction that Irish Dexters would be the perfect homesteading cattle. This advice inspired Jostan and myself, Hunter, to transition from our Jersey herd and embark on this new venture. Starting with just five head, our passion and dedication have seen our herd grow to over 100 in just three years.
The name D-Squared holds special significance for us. In cattle branding, squaring a letter signifies multiplying it by two. As distant cousins sharing the Dowacter family name, D-Squared elegantly represents "Dowacter Dexter."
At D-Squared, we are committed to preserving the unique qualities of the Irish Dexter, a breed celebrated for its compact size and exceptional meat and milk production. We prioritize genetic diversity and work diligently to ensure the health and vitality of our herd. Our mission extends beyond breeding; we aim to build lasting relationships with our clients, assisting them in finding the ideal Irish Dexter animals for their specific needs, whether for dairy, beef, or breeding.
We look forward to the possibility of connecting with you and sharing more about our passion for Irish Dexter cattle.
Sincerely,
D-Squared Cattle Company
